Job Title: Civil Project Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Project Manager to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure successful completion of projects within defined timelines, quality standards, and budgets. This role requires excellent coordination, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, timelines, and resource allocations
• Oversee all phases of civil construction projects—from initiation to completion
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely delivery
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate site activities, supervise contractors, and ensure quality control
Contractor & Vendor Management
• Identify and evaluate contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Review quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize work orders
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure uninterrupted project flow
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure adherence to contract terms
Cost Management & Budgeting
• Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditures against approved costs
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Approve material requisitions and validate measurements for billing
• Evaluate variation claims and negotiate with contractors
Site Coordination & Supervision
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality and safety compliance
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site teams for smooth operations
• Resolve on-site challenges and provide technical guidance
• Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower
Quality, Safety & Compliance
• Implement quality assurance procedures and ensure adherence to construction standards
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with statutory regulations
• Maintain proper documentation—site reports, measurements, inspections, and approvals
Communication & Reporting
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly project status reports
• Present progress updates, challenges, and corrective action plans to management
• Ensure clear communication across all project teams and departments
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Civil Project Manager or similar role in construction/infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and project management practices
• Expertise in reading drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in project management tools and ERP systems
• Ability to multitask, handle deadlines, and work under pressure
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
• Certification in Project Management (PMP/PMI) is an added advantage
Tools & Platforms
• Project Management Tools (MS Project, Primavera, Excel)
• AutoCAD, Revit, and other civil engineering design tools
• ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP)
