INVENTORY - MANAGER TRANIEE

Job Description

Job Title: Inventory Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for a diligent and organized Inventory Executive to manage and optimize inventory levels across our warehouses/sites. The role involves overseeing daily inventory functions, ensuring data accuracy, and facilitating effective coordination between procurement, logistics, and operations. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with ERP systems, proficient in Excel, and capable of executing audits, reporting, and timely inventory replenishment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Operations & Control

  • Supervise daily inventory activities: inbound receiving, inspection, tagging/barcoding, storage allocation, outbound dispatch, returns, and inter-warehouse transfers.
     

  • Ensure accurate and real-time entries in inventory systems including GRNs, issue slips, and dispatch notes.
     

  • Conduct routine cycle counts, monthly and quarterly physical inventory checks; reconcile system vs physical stock and report discrepancies for corrective action.

     

Analysis, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Track stock levels, movement trends, slow/obsolete inventory, and aging reports; recommend liquidation or replenishment as necessary.
     

  • Work closely with procurement and operations to forecast requirements
     

  • Prepare and share MIS dashboards, including stock variance reports, shrinkage data, inventory turnover, PO aging, and item-wise movement logs.
     





 

Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams: procurement, logistics, warehouse, QC, and service teams to align on item availability, shipment priorities, and urgent requirements.
     

  • Ensure timely and complete documentation for all inventory transactions: GRNs, issue slips, job cards, stock adjustment memos, and reconciliation reports.
     

  • Support the dispatch of critical inventory such as spare parts, consumables.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in e-commerce, retail, warehouse, or service industry.
     

  • Familiarity with inventory/ERP tools such as Tally, SAP, Unicommerce, or other warehouse management systems.
     

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Reporting), and data handling.
     

  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and inventory documentation.
     

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills across departments.
     

Tools & Platforms

  • Inventory Systems/ERP: Tally, SAP, Unicommerce, Odoo, Zoho Inventory
     

  • Data & Reporting: MS Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI (optional), MIS dashboards
     

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, SCM, or related discipline
     

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in inventory control and operations
     

  • Ability to perform stock audits, reconcile data, and document discrepancies
